Studio Sessions are Mia’s art classes and workshops that offer experienced artmakers and curious novices alike the opportunity to create projects inspired by Mia’s collection and special exhibitions. Each Studio Sessions class features a different subject or medium to explore, and you’ll walk away with expanded knowledge and skills, plus a personal work of art. The only prerequisites for this class are curiosity and an open mind.

March 28 | Screen Printing
Join printmaker and educator Nancy Ariza for a screen printing workshop using hand-cut paper stencils. Learn the fundamentals of screen printing through this accessible, low-tech process, which uses paper stencils cut with an X-Acto knife to create a design that is then attached to and printed using a screen. By the end of the session, you’ll create your own small edition of one-layer prints on paper. This is a beginner-friendly process. All skill levels are welcome.
