ST. PAUL, MN — Gov. Tim Walz ordered that all United States and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in the state to honor the life of Queen Elizabeth II, who died at age 96 on Thursday.

"Queen Elizabeth II was a force on the world stage, and her leadership through some of the darkest times in recent history will not be forgotten," Walz said in a statement.
