MN Election Results: Walz, Jensen Projected To Win Party Nominations
Candidates Tim Walz and Scott Jensen are projected to face off against each other in the November general election for Minnesota governor.
MINNESOTA — Republican candidate for governor Scott Jensen, a family doctor who challenged Gov. Tim Walz's COVID-19 lockdown measures, is projected to win his party's nomination.
Meanwhile, Gov. Tim Walz is projected to win the Democratic nomination. The two are set to face off in the November general election.
In the congressional primaries, Rep. Ilhan Omar is projected to defeat her primary challenger, Don Samuels, by a slim margin. With over 97 percent of precincts reporting, Samuels trailed Omar by less than 3,000 votes.

Meanwhile, Republican Rep. Pete Stauber is projected to win his primary in Minnesota's 8th District. Republican Brad Finstad is projected to win his primary for Minnesota's 1st District.
Finstad is also leading in the race to serve out the final four months of the late Rep. Jim Hagedorn's term.

Republican Kim Crockett is projected to win her primary race for Minnesota Secretary of State.
Late Tuesday night, Hennepin County Attorney primary candidates Martha Holton Dimick and Mary Moriarty were ahead in the seven-person field. Two of the seven primary candidates will advance to compete in the November general election.
