Lighting operator has a near perfect performance at the Minnesota Wedding Video Awards
An overlooked role, brought local award show to another level.

Bloomington MN - Saturday March 4th, 2017. Lauren Ide, lighting operator for the Minnesota Wedding Video Awards at the Masonic Heritage Center, completes a near perfect performance of the lighting transitions for the awards show. Most of the audience was probably not noticing the difficult light changes during the Award ceremony. But after and before each videos there was complicated light changes happening executed by Ide, providing a high level experience for the guests at the Minnesota Wedding Video Awards.
She confessed she had no training as a lighting operator, but when she heard the Minnesota Wedding Video Awards were coming to the Masonic Heritage Center, she put in weeks of studying the perfect transitions, that would create an impactful emotional experience for the audience.
"It always has been a dream of mine to be a master lighting technician, and it was not until last Saturday did I step into the role I've wanted wanted to perform." Says Ide

An audience member claims "I knew there was something masterful going on, after using the process of elimination, I realized, It's the lighting that is helping me engage so deeply with the event."
The leadership at the Minnesota Wedding Video Awards, mentioned in an interview "After watching footage from the evening, the lighting transitions were actually 100% perfect. We would be lucky to have Ide back in the driver seat of the lighting again next year."
