Minneapolis Reducing Yard Waste Pickups Due To Staffing Shortage

MINNEAPOLIS — As of Monday, the city of Minneapolis will reduce the yard waste pickup schedule for some neighborhoods due to staffing shortages.
The schedule will go from weekly to every other week for parts of south, southwest, and northeast Minneapolis.
"Staff understand this is inconvenient and are grateful for customers’ patience and understanding while the City works through staffing issues," officials said in a statement. "The goal is to always provide the highest quality service possible."

The change will impact customers who live in the following areas:
- South: east of I-35W.
- Southwest: south of Minnehaha Creek.
- Northeast: south of 22nd Avenue NE
Residents should call (612) 673-2917 if their yard waste has not been picked up in the past two weeks.
