Minnesota Election Day Voter Guide 2022: Candidates And How To Vote
Believe it or not, Election Day is less than a month away in Minnesota. Here's what you need to know to vote.

MINNEAPOLIS — Believe it or not, Election Day is less than a month away. On Nov. 8, Minnesotans will choose candidates for federal and statewide offices, plus local races such as county attorney, sheriff, state senator, and state representative.
Minnesota has same-day registration, which means you can register to vote at your polling location on Election Day. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. on Election Day.
However, you can also register to vote online now by using the Secretary of State website. Check to see if your current voter registration information is up to date using this tool.

"Minnesota leads the nation in voter registration, still we know that as many as 550,000 Minnesotans who are eligible to vote are not yet registered," said Secretary Steve Simon in a news release last month.
"That’s why our office is working with local elections partners around the state to ensure that every Minnesotan has the opportunity to make their voice heard at the polls this voting season."
What the polls show
A recent poll shows that Minnesota Republicans are on the verge of winning their first statewide race since 2006. A KSTP/SurveyUSA poll published Thursday finds that Attorney General Keith Ellison, Secretary of State Steve Simon, and State auditor Julie Blaha are all at serious risk of losing their jobs on Election Day.
Meanwhile, polls show Gov. Tim Walz with a healthy lead over his Republican challenger, Scott Jensen. However, a lot can change by Election Day.
Below are the candidates that will appear on all ballots in Minnesota. For a complete list of elections on your local ballot, use the Minnesota sample ballot tool.
