MN State Patrol Responds To 83 Crashes, 119 Spinouts Overnight

Rain, snow, and ice made for slick roads across Minnesota Tuesday night. More winter weather is on its way for the Twin Cities metro.

MINNESOTA — Rain, snow, and ice made for slick roads across Minnesota Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, it responded to 83 crashes, including four that involved injuries.

There were also 119 spinouts and one jackknifed semi.

Wednesday will bring additional rounds of rain before more snow starts to fly in the second half of the week.

Up to 4 inches of snow could fall Thursday in the Twin Cities metro area, and up to another 3 inches of snow early Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
