More Winter Storms This Week to Affect Travel in Minnesota
Additional hazardous weather in the forecast will gum up the highways and cause traffic problems as motorists travel for Thanksgiving.

The National Weather Service has more hazardous weather in the forecast for central Minnesota, which is sure to gum up the highways and cause traffic problems as people embark on their Thanksgiving travels. Expect mixed precipitation to continue Wednesday, tapering off by the afternoon. An additional half inch of accumulation is possible.
Rain is expected to change to snow Thursday night, with possible accumulations of an inch or two.
Another mixed precipitation storm system could affect travel Sunday into Monday. Western Minnesota looks to have the highest chance of seeing snow, while mostly rain is expected elsewhere.

Traffic problems
Highway 52 at 210th Street was closed in both directions Wednesday morning after a tanker carrying ethanol rolled on the road. A hazmat crew is on the scene.
The incident took place just south of Hampton. Authorities are asking drivers to use alternate routes.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported 277 crashes, involving 31 injuries and two fatalities, between 2 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday.
