Poll: Keith Ellison Down 7 Points To Republican Jim Schultz

Keith Ellison is in a perilous position with less than a week until Election Day, a KSTP/SurveyUSA poll finds.

MINNEAPOLIS — Less than a week out from Election Day, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison's job is in peril, according to a poll published Tuesday.

The latest KSTP/SurveyUSA poll finds that Ellison's Republican opponent, Jim Schultz, leads him by 49 percent to 42 percent. Another 9 percent of voters remain undecided, the poll finds.

Voters trust Schultz more on crime, while they trust Ellison on abortion.

Ellison has a small six-point advantage in the Twin Cities metro area, while Schultz maintains significant leads everywhere outside of the metro.
