State Health Leaders to Address Lung Disease Issue in Minnesota
Event to help half-a-million Minnesotans who suffer from lung disease

Several leading lung health experts will speak on October 5 at the LUNG FORCE Expo in Minneapolis, the American Lung Association in Minnesota announced today.
The event will bring together healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers to learn about the latest trends, resources and research on lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)/Alpha-1, asthma, and other lung diseases. The LUNG FORCE Expo includes three tracks – one for patients and caregivers, one for professionals focused on asthma and one for professionals focused on lung diseases (cancer, COPD and pulmonary hypertension).
“There are more than 500,000 in Minnesota who suffer from lung disease, including thousands who battle lung cancer. That’s why this event is more important than ever to communicate new treatments, help people live better with lung disease and share the newest research,” said Jill Heins, the national director of lung health for the Lung Association. “We are honored to offer presentations by some of the most important voices in lung health in Minnesota.”
