Video Shows Fireball Crash On Highway 10 In Blaine, Minnesota

A box truck erupted into flames and thick black smoke after a crash highway crash Monday afternoon.

BLAINE, MN — A traffic video from the Minnesota Department of Transportation shows a major crash that caused a fireball explosion on Highway 10 in Blaine Monday.

Just before 2:30 p.m., a car entered eastbound Highway 10 from southbound Highway 65 and crashed into a box truck.

The truck then crashed into the wall of the highway bridge and erupted into flames and black smoke. Debris from the crash fell onto the roadway below the bridge.

There were no serious injuries in the crash, State Patrol Lt. Gordon Shank told the Star Tribune. The driver of the car did show possible signs of impairment, according to Shank.

The Minnesota State Patrol could not be immediately reached for comment.
