R.E. Purvis & Associates partnering with Minnetonka nonprofit

In recognition of October being National Disability Employment Awareness Month, nonprofit organization Opportunity Partners salutes Bloomington company R.E. Purvis & Associates, the Upper Midwest’s premier seal and industrial components distributor. Workers with disabilities from Opportunity Partners have worked at the Bloomington business for more than 10 years, meeting the needs of its many customers which include Bobcat.

From service kits to production parts, the crew from Opportunity Partners is always eager to work on new projects at R.E. Purvis & Associates. About a dozen individuals with disabilities and two supervisors work at the site Monday through Friday. “Quality and dependability are two words that come to mind when working with the Opportunity Partners team,” said R.E. Purvis President Alesa Koppen.

Recognizing the commitment of the Opportunity Partners team, Bobcat hosted a special “thank you” supplier day at R.E. Purvis. The event included a picnic lunch and two Bobcat machines on display. It was a beautiful day for a barbeque for the Opportunity Partners work teams and staff. “Thank you Opportunity Partners and Bobcat for recognizing what people with disabilities can do for corporate America,” Alesa said.
