Let's Talk Vikings: Vikings Win First Game This Season
The Vikings won a very important game, defeating the Cardinals 34-10, while keeping their playoff hopes alive.

You read it correctly. The Vikings won a game! The Vikings won Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals by a score of 34-10.
The game began with a huge 1st quarter for the Vikings. Early in the 1st, Adrian Peterson ran it in from 4 yards to give the Vikings a 7-0 lead. Following an interception, Peterson ran in another touchdown, this time from 24 yards, giving the Vikings a 14-0 lead midway through the 1st quarter. Shortly after, Donovan McNabb ran in a touchdown from 4 yards, shortly followed by an Adrian Peterson 14 yard touchdown run. This gave the Vikings a whopping 28-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter, Cardinals kicker Jay Feely kicked in a 51 yard field goal, giving the Vikings a 28-3 halftime lead. In the 3rd quarter, Cardinals running back Beanie Wells scored a 2 yard touchdown run, making the score 28-10 Vikings. In the remainder of the game, 2 Ryan Longwell field goals sealed the deal, giving the Vikings a 34-10 win and their first win of the season.
Despite winning, Donovan McNabb did not play well. As a matter of fact, there were countless times when the crowd booed him for bad, inaccurate throws, even though the Vikings were ahead. He went 10/21 on pass attempts for 169 yards. He ran 4 times for 4 yards, and one rushing touchdown.

Adrian Peterson played a great game. He ran 29 times for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Vikings defense played well too. Many defenders tipped passes, resulting in incompletions. As a whole, the Vikings defense had 6 sacks and 4 QB hits, as well as 3 interceptions (here's one) . The Vikings also recovered one Cardinals fumble.

The Vikings played well on all sides of the ball. By winning their first game, they now have a chance to be back in it if they keep winning.
Next week the Vikings take on their division rival Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football.
