Legacy Gymnasts Host Annual Luau Invitational

The Legacy Gymnastics of Eden Prairie played host to more than 1000 athlete the weekend of January 30th - February 1st at Base Camp.

All the Legacy’s girls gymnasts level 4 through 10 competed with tons of success and to top it off all girls qualified to compete in the state gymnastics championships meet in March.

Level 4

In the 7-9 year old age division, Peyton Libbey accomplished a 4 for 4 winning all 4 events and the all-around with an impressive 37.225. Her teammates Nicki Scholl, Brinley Hopper and Holly Claire Bodine all placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th with their all around. In the 10 year old age division, Mackenzie Watkins took 1st on beam and 1st in the all-around. Teammate Kalea Dale placed 1st on vault with a 9.100. In the 11 and older age division, Winnie Wallace placed 1st on bars, floor, and in the all-around. Carrie Hayes was 1st on vault and beam making it a straight win for the Legacy girls. The level 4 team achieved 1st place!

Level 5

In the 7-10 year old age division, Tatum Eisenberg placed 1st on vault, beam, and the all-around. Teammate Keely Arne placed 1st on bars. In the 11 year old age division, Sophia Schwob placed 1st on vault with a meet high score of 9.425. She was also 1st in the all-around. Teammate Susie Lepow was 2nd on bars, 1st on beam with a score of 9.325 and 2nd in the all-around. Finally, in the 12 and older age division, Savannah Huber also had a clean sweep winning all four events and the all around with a 36.600. The level 5 team took first place with a 110.250.

The level 7 girls team are right in the middle of their very competitive season. In the 7-10 year old age division, Megan Steensland placed 1st on vault, beam, floor, and won the all-around with a 37.550. In the 11 year old age division, Chantal Xifra placed 1st on bars and 1st in the all around. Willow Gilbertson won beam with a 9.250, while teammate Isabella Bellini won floor with a 9.425. In the 13 and older age group, Nicole Thompson placed 1st on vault with a 9.300 and placed 1st in the all-around. Teammate Chelsea Landis was first on beam and first on floor with an impressive 9.575. Ellie Suppes rounded out the podium with a 1st place finish on bars. The level 7 team placed 1st as a team with a 112.975.

The level 8 team acquired a 4th place in a very competitive session of the Luau. In the 8-12 year old age group, Eva Abler was 3rd on beam and 3rd in the all-around with a 36.425. Ashley Bair was 1st on floor with a session high score of 9.500. In the 13 year old age division, Abri Click placed 3rd on vault with a 9.075 for her piked tsuk.

The small but mighty level 9 team obtained a 3rd place finish. In the 8-13 year old age division, Emily Koch blew everyone away with her 1st place floor routine with a 9.300. In the 14 year old age division, Callie Schlottman had a great day winning vault, floor, and the all-around with a 36.800. Clare Collins was 4th all-around.

Pushing through injuries, the level 10 team returned home a 1st place team trophy. In the junior age division, Riley Danielson won vault for her Kas full for a 9.275. Jada Rondeau was 1st on beam and floor with a session high score of 9.625. In the Senior age division, Jessi Rondeau was 3rd all around, and teammate Jenna Horner was 4th all-around. Even specialist, Claire DeBenedetto was 2nd on floor with a 9.450.
