• Monticello teachers, district reach tentative agreement (hometownsource.com) — Monticello Public Schools and the local teachers’ union have reached a tentative contract agreement after nearly a year of working without a new deal, following visible demonstrations and a packed school board meeting. Union leaders will present details to teachers later this week and early next week, with a ratification vote to follow and potential school board approval targeted for June 15.
   

• Woman overdoses in Wright County Jail after allegedly smuggling in fentanyl (hometownsource.com) — A woman accused of possessing drugs in Monticello Township allegedly overdosed at the Wright County Jail after deputies say she brought fentanyl into the facility. Court records describe a late-night traffic stop near the Holiday North gas station, discovery of suspected cocaine and fentanyl, and multiple doses of Narcan given at the jail. Her next court appearance is set for August 7.
   

• Rollover Crash on I-94 in Monticello Injures Passenger (minnesotasnewcountry.com) — A rollover crash on I-94 in Monticello Township Monday afternoon sent a St. Cloud woman to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. State Patrol says the driver, also from St. Cloud, is believed to have been drinking before leaving the road and rolling the vehicle, though he was not hurt.
