• Monticello man fled through basement before meth found, court records say (hometownsource.com) — A Monticello resident has been sentenced in Wright County after pleading guilty to a reduced fifth-degree drug possession charge stemming from a 2025 traffic stop. Court records say he briefly fled through a residence before officers later found over 21 grams of meth in his vehicle. He received a stayed 17‑month prison term and jail time already served.
