• Minnesota Senate, House pass prediction market bans (twincities.com) — New Brighton’s state senator Mary Kunesh is backing a Minnesota Senate bill that would sharply restrict online prediction markets, citing worries about impacts on tribal casino revenues and rural jobs. The measure, prompted partly by another senator’s small bet on his own race, passed the Senate 56–10 and is now intertwined with a House public safety bill, leaving its final fate still uncertain.
