Vote for Local Hero Amber Freed
We are asking for the community to help our daughter, Amber, win a handicap accessible van through NMEDA's Local Heroes Contest. Please vote for Amber and share the link.

We are trying to win a much-needed wheelchair accessible van for our daughter, Amber Freed, and need your support. Amber is a local girl, who lives here in Northfield. Please vote for Amber!
Here's how to get Amber the most votes:
Click on www.mobilityawarenessmonth.com/entrant/amber-freed-northfield-mn/ to go to the voting page, click on the box to answer the daily question for a 2nd vote (if you don't know the answer, open a new tab and google the question... the answers to all the daily questions are within the reading material on NMEDA's website). Make sure you answer the daily question for the 2nd vote BEFORE submitting your vote (once you click "vote", you can't return to the page to get the 2nd vote). Don't worry if you answer incorrectly, you still get your 1 vote and every vote helps! After you answer the question, fill in your information (name, email address), check all the boxes (how you know Amber, agree to rules, etc.), then click on "vote" to give Amber your 1 or 2 votes. Now, repeat this process as many times as you can for the day by voting at home, at work, on your cell phone, etc. You can pick up a different WiFi/Network at almost every restaurant, bar, library, coffee shop, hotel, or several other businesses... you don't even have to go inside; just stop in the parking lot, along the street, etc. to pick up the signal and place another vote (or 2) for Amber. Make sure you share the link too; asking others to do the same! EVERY vote, EVERY day helps so much!!! Please keep voting & sharing through May 10th... Amber just needs to make it to the top 5% to move on to the next phase in the contest... that's about 60 contestants... we CAN make this happen!!! Thank you all so much for your continued support!!!
Here's another trick to get more votes!
Some smart phones you can toggle airplane mode on and off this may give you a new IP address, also some smart phones have 3g and 4g toggles, so you can vote on the 3g and 4g. I've been told that you need to turn your WiFi off and sometimes you have to wait a bit to do the mode.
We also made a short video to show how we currently get Amber and her wheelchair into our van and why having a handicap accessible van would make things so much easier for us. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYfIV5YNlk8&sns=fb Please share the link and video with others and ask them to vote for Amber!
