Driver Goes 112 in 70 mph Zone, Makes Laughable Excuse

On Jan. 9, a Minnesota state trooper pulled over a driver going 112 mph on Interstate 35 north of Albert Lea. Do you buy his excuse?

Would you rather be late for a job interview, or get into a serious vehicle accident that threatens your life and the lives of other drivers around you? That Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) thinks the answer is obvious.

"You’ll be really late if you decide to go 112 mph in a 70 mph zone," MSP said on Facebook.

That’s what happened Jan. 9 on Interstate 35 north of Albert Lea. A trooper stopped a speeding vehicle going 42 mph over the posted limit. The driver’s excuse? He was late for a job interview.
