Northfield KFC to Reopen With New Owner

An opening date hasn't been determined.

You won't need to drive as far to get your bucket of the Colonel's Special Recipe.

The Northfield KFC will reopen in the near future, according to a classified on the Northfield News.

"KFC IS BACK! Taking Applications Nov 1st 11a-2p & 5p-7p 2300 Gleason Ct - Nfld," the classified reads.

Brad Smith of Elko is purchasing the building from current owner Gary Tiedeken, according to the Northfield News.

The Northfield KFC opened in February 2010. Tiedeken said the business once had 40 employees, but the week the restaurant closed, there were about 15, as he let people go throughout the previous year because of poor sales.
