Northfield Updates Law Following Indecent Exposure Spree

The Northfield City Council has approved amendments to a law that deals with indecent exposure.

Following a string of incidents involving a man exposing himself several times in recent months, the Northfield City Council has approved amendments to city ordinance No. 981, which deals with disorderly conduct and unlawful parties and noise.

Among the new language in the law is a section on indecent exposure, which states that it is unlawful for a person to appear in public and be "willfully and lewdly exposing his or her person or the private parts thereof or procure another to so expose himself or herself, behave in an open or grossly licentious or lascivious manner, or perform any act of public indecency."
