The Northfield Union of Youth is leaning on community support, including Just Food Co-op's October Round Up campaign, and is inviting residents to chip in online so the space stays warm, safe, and welcoming for local teens year-round. 
• Riverwalk Market Fair closes in on end of 'busy' season with Oct. 10 fall celebration (kymnradio.net) — Northfield's Riverwalk Market Fair is packing Bridge Square and nearby streets Saturday with more than 75 vendors, acrobats, goats, and visits from local fire trucks for a big fall celebration. The market then continues every Saturday through October, with indoor winter markets at Northfield Middle School and Armory Square, giving you plenty of chances to shop local and support community vendors.
• From Northfield to the North Central Council of Latin Americanists (stolaf.edu) — St. Olaf College students are elevating stories from Northfield through community-engaged research, including an oral history project on Latinidad in southern Minnesota presented at a regional conference. Faculty describe how partnerships with the Northfield Public Library, local community members, and campus centers help students share Northfield-rooted knowledge with wider scholarly audiences while staying accountable to local voices.
