UWL opens season fifth at Griak Invitational (lacrossetribune.com) — Northfield will host the Running of the Cows cross country meet at Carleton's Bill Huyck Championship Course on October 3, where UW–La Crosse returns to competition. The Eagles just opened their season with a solid fifth-place finish at the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational in Minnesota.

Sung Ha Yun on "Wŏn Buddhist Meditation: A Guided Mindfulness Practice" (psu.edu) — A Wŏn Buddhist priest and St. Olaf religion professor is helping nurture a new meditation and spiritual cultivation group in Northfield, offering guided mindfulness practices to deepen calm and clarity. Her upcoming session introduces Wŏn Buddhist meditation, drawing on years of community work and scholarship in Korean and East Asian Buddhism.
