Riverwalk Market Fair Thrives Despite Less-Than-Ideal Weather
Overcast skies, temperature in the 40s do not deter shoppers from visiting vendors along the Cannon River.
Overcast skies and temperatures in the 40s didn’t deter residents from taking part in the final Riverwalk Market Fair of September in downtown Northfield Saturday morning.
As has been the case this year, a variety of food vendors displayed their produce, baked goods, coffee and other goodies in the city parking lot adjacent to the Cannon River, and artists set up tents on the Riverwalk on the east side of the river.
Saturday’s scene couldn’t have been more different than a year ago, when the parking lot was blocked with emergency vehicles and the Riverwalk was covered with water because of the .

The fair will continue for three more Saturdays this year, through Oct. 15. Vendors will be set up from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
