Statistics have found that when parents model activity, children are more active. The obesity rate for children continues to climb, and it is going to take a concerted effort by everyone to get the trend to go in the other direction. Never fear - there are little things that moms can start to do in their own homes to make a difference for their kids!
Most sports associations do not have a woman board member. Decisions are made at that level, and many of the changes needed in youth sports will happen from the top down. How can adding women's voices to those conversations change the experience for our youth?
We've invited Woodbury author, former teacher, reporter, college soccer coach, and hockey mom, Meagan Frank, to lead an interactive presentation about why it is so important for moms to model, support, and get involved with the sporting activities for their kids.

Choosing the right sports for kids can be a challenge, and Meagan will offer some ways to identify and accept the sports that will keep the kid in your house most motivated to keep moving.
Please RSVP for this free event by phone or email. We'll meet for social time following at Sunsets in Woodbury, at Radio Dr. & Tamarack Rd.
