The recorded history of Ethiopia goes back to 1500 BC and the country is a mixture of ancient wonders and modern sights. Despite news images of drought and poverty, there is an agricultural base in the villages that feeds much of the country. Many aspects of life in the villages have not changed since ancient times but motorbikes, cell phones, and satellite dishes remind you that change is arriving with a loud bang.
