- The Minnesota State Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the Minnesota Genealogical Society are conducting a workshop for prospective members of the Daughters of the American Revolution Sunday, January 22 from 1-4 p.m. at the MGS Library and Research Center, 1185 Concord St N, South St. Paul. This will be a great time to learn more about the Daughters of the American Revolution and meet some of the current members, as well as other prospective members. During the afternoon there will be brief presentations on becoming a DAR member and researching a lineage, as well as tours of MGS’ 30,000-volume lineage collection. During the workshop participants can consult MGS and DAR genealogists and conduct research in the library’s collections and online databases.
Currently there are 24 DAR Chapters with more than 1,000 members in the state of Minnesota.
