Woodbury Leadership Academy (WLA) is a tuition-free, K-12 public charter school where high expectations and success matter to all! Our learning environment and school community promotes academic achievement for students in grades K-12, as well as personal integrity, equity and a dedication to value and serve others. Our school is committed to our students’ long term success. We use inquiry based learning by teaching the Core Knowledge Curriculum — building strong skills in math, reading, writing, history, science and technology. We also have a strong character education program to ensure students develop exceptional leadership skills. The character education program includes service learning projects and a focus of five core virtues - respect, responsibility, perseverance, gratitude and humanity. WLA uses the rigorous and classical Core Knowledge Curriculum to build strong foundational knowledge across subjects, promoting academic excellence and equity. By ensuring all students share common knowledge, we can narrow achievement gaps and build critical thinking and long-term success. The academic rigor at WLA prepares students for college and ready to lead. We out-perform the MCA Minnesota State average in all categories! Check out our report card. WLA is a public school with a private school feeling. WLA students wear school uniforms to promote equality, reduce peer pressure, and minimize distractions. Small class sizes at WLA allow for teachers and staff to provide personalized instruction, build strong relationships, and increase student engagement. With a 22:1 average student/teacher ratio, we are able to give every student what they need to learn and thrive. Call to learn more. The enrollment lottery closes January 31st of each year. Take a leisurely stroll along the trails of the old Joy family homestead.  A naturalist will point out the spring ephemerals in bloom and the warblers in the basswood and maple trees.  Optional: bring binoculars and a camera. Meet in the east parking lot on the north side of Silver Lake (on Joy Rd just west of Century Ave) FREE. Register by May 1st. year already!Our popular Stillwater Flea &amp; Crafter Market has grown over the years – over 150 vendors and crafters every month!!This fun outdoor event is held once a month May thru Sept. at the Washington County Fairgrounds in the Stillwater/Lake Elmo area. Our vendors and crafters have an offering of everything from A to Z!!Awesome food vendors, free admission and parking. Find us in the South Parking Lot area of the Fairgrounds.(August we are in the North Lot).Signing up vendors now for this season. Booth space only $65 for the whole weekend.Hours 9am-3pm both Saturday and Sunday. 2026 dates: May 16-17, June 27 -28, July 18-19, August 29-30, September 26-27
