• Owatonna man identified from recent officer-involved shooting (southernminn.com) — Authorities have identified the man involved in the July 1 Owatonna standoff as a 36-year-old local resident now facing multiple attempted murder and assault charges. Police say the incident began with a welfare check on South Oak Avenue, led to shots fired and a shelter-in-place alert, and ended when the suspect allegedly shot himself and was taken to the hospital under custody.
