• Pine Island data center put on hold (zumbrota.com) — Construction of a large Google data center in Pine Island is temporarily halted after a judge granted an environmental group’s request for more review, pausing work on the 482-acre site near Highway 52. City leaders say the ruling mainly delays next steps while questions about emissions, energy use, and noise and light impacts are more fully examined. 
• Pine Island woman injured in crash in Byron (postbulletin.com) — A 61-year-old Pine Island woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after her SUV collided with a pickup Monday night at Highway 14 and County Road 5 in Byron. Another Pine Island resident in her vehicle and the Rochester driver were not hurt, according to the State Patrol.
