2014 Ralph Burnet Scholarships Given to Local Students

Coldwell Banker Burnet has presented a local high school graduate, Danielle Tran, a Ralph Burnet Scholarship. This annual scholarship program is offered locally to graduating high school seniors who are the son or daughter of a Coldwell Banker Burnet Home Services independent sales associate or full-time employee.  The scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, and scores on college entrance exams. 

Danielle Tran of Plymouth is the winner of a $1000 scholarship.  She is the daughter of Jacqueline Nguyen, independent sales associate at the Plymouth office.  Danielle graduated from Wayzata High School where she was active in many organizations.  She served as an executive board member and secretary of Y.E.S. (Youth Extending Service) and was the recipient of the Bronze Presidential Volunteer Service Award.  She chaired several committees for the National Honor Society.  Danielle was also involved in Link, the French Club and worked as a student tutor.  When not busy with school, she plays tennis and piano in her spare time.  Danielle plans to major in biochemistry with an eye towards medical school.  She will be attending the University of Minnesota.

The Ralph Burnet Scholarship was established by the company as a tribute to Ralph Burnet for his contributions to Coldwell Banker Burnet and the real estate profession.  The program awards one-time scholarships to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution.
