Channel 12: Sunshine Factory Moving from New Hope to Plymouth

It's a short trip down Rockford Road for the 37-year-old restaurant, according to twelve.tv.

Look for a new restaurant to go up in Plymouth this summer and fall if all goes as Randy Rosengren plans.

Rosengren owns the Sunshine Factory, a New Hope landmark he built in 1975 and opened days before the United States celebrated its 200th birthday in the summer of 1976, Channel 12 reported.

Now Rosengren has his sights set on a site in Plymouth about three miles west on Rockford Road from the current Sunshine Factory, according to the story on twelve.tv:

Rosengren chose to relocate to a shopping center near Interstate 494 and Rockford Road in Plymouth. He plans to tear down a restaurant that is currently at 4100 Vinewood Lane North in order to build a brand new building.

He said he likes the fact that it is in a busy area and allows him to build new features, like an outdoor patio with a fireplace and bar. Perhaps the best thing about the new location is that it is just three miles down the road from the New Hope location, making it pretty easy for customers and employees to transition to the new place.
