February 15: Breaking The Silence: Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Seminar

Mount Olivet Lutheran Church of Plymouth will be hosting, “Breaking the Silence: Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention”, a community seminar to educate and offer resources to teens and parents on dating violence. This is the second in a series of Breaking the Silence events that are held by Mount Olivet to raise awareness and prevent violence in the community.

Open to the public, parents and teens are invited to join in conversation and discussion led by three facilitators who will address issues around the prevalence of violence in teen dating. Scheduled speakers are: Carlein Cloutier, Children’s Program Coordinator of Home Free; Pete Erickson, Director of Faith Formation at Mount Olivet; and Dawn Strommen, MA, Licensed Psychologist. Literature and representatives from event partner Home Free, a local domestic violence shelter, will be on hand for this event.
