Minnesota Oncology Opens New Clinic in Plymouth

Minnesota Oncology this month opened the doors to its newest location.  The clinic – located at the Allina WestHealth medical campus in Plymouth – is Minnesota Oncology’s 10th location in the Twin Cities.  The Plymouth clinic is currently staffed by four physicians, two chemotherapy nurses, and a certified nurse practitioner.  Minnesota Oncology is a specialized medical group dedicated solely to the diagnosis and treatment of various cancers as well as many blood disorders.

“We are pleased to fill a gap in our Twin Cities health care infrastructure by bringing individualized cancer care to the northwest suburbs,” said Randy Thompson, executive director of Minnesota Oncology.  “We hope our patients in and around Plymouth will enjoy receiving quality care close to home.”

The Plymouth clinic is strategically located at Allina’s WestHealth campus because it features primary and specialty care physician clinics, emergency and urgent care, a breast health center, imaging center, same-day surgery, a laboratory, and pharmacy all at the same location.

“We are thrilled to partner with Allina to provide a convenient health care experience for our patients in a beautiful facility,” said Thompson.

Minnesota Oncology is a group of more than 70 oncology and hematology specialists dedicated solely to the diagnosis and treatment of various cancers – lung, breast, gynecological, colorectal, prostate and others – as well as many blood disorders.  It has 10 locations across the Twin Cities metropolitan area and is an affiliate of US Oncology, one of the nation’s largest cancer treatment and research networks.
