Parker's Lake Rink Opens Jan. 21, Weather Gets Chilly
The recent cold snap has prompted the opening of the city's last rink at Parker's Lake and now all Plymouth rinks are open.

It looks like January is starting to shape up to a real winter.
The last rink that usually opens in Plymouth is now available. Parker's Lake rink and warming house opens Saturday, Jan. 21, to the public.
The rink and warming house's opening had been postponed indefinitely due to unsafe skating conditions last week.

Plymouth ice rinks' hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2 to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The city of Plymouth's website Parks and Recreation Department section has further information on rinks and warming houses near you.

The colder, snowy weather as of late has been a ray of hope for the , which . According to this Kare 11 report, the business is hoping its winter recreation inventory starts moving soon since the warmer weather recreational items are already coming in.
But warmer weather doesn't seem to be coming to the area anytime soon.
According to the National Weather Service, it's going to be a cold weekend for outdoor winter enthusaists so bundle up if you're spending time outside.
Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 17, but with the wind chill it will feel like -7 and -17. The wind will be calm around 11 to 14 mph.
Sunday has a 50 percent chance of snow and will be cloudy with a high near 31 and winds from the southeast from 6 to 9 mph become west/southwest.
