• Spot the Scam, Stop the Fraud (myklgr.com) — A free fraud-prevention seminar is coming to the Redwood Area Community Center in Redwood Falls on Friday, Oct. 9, featuring Sheriff Jason Jacobson sharing current scam trends and safety tips. Residents can learn how to spot common scams, protect personal information, and respond if targeted, all while enjoying complimentary coffee and treats with neighbors.
   

• Single Vehicle Rollover-Redwood County (myklgr.com) — A 16-year-old driver was seriously injured Thursday evening in a single-vehicle rollover near CSAH 15 and Justice Avenue in rural Redwood County and was first taken to CentraCare–Redwood Falls Hospital, then airlifted to North Memorial. Multiple area police, fire, and ambulance crews assisted at the scene, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
   

• Cross country (marshallindependent.com) — High school runners from across the region converged on Redwood Falls for the Redwood Valley Invitational, where local athletes turned in multiple personal-best times and strong team finishes. Redwood Valley’s boys and girls both led the team standings, while Marshall, Canby/Minneota, Wabasso, and TMB/WWG runners also made the top ranks in competitive fields.
