3 Years, 3 Months Behind Bars for Ex-City Staffer on Child Porn Conviction

Scott Andrew Bradley of Oakdale, who once worked as communications coordinator for the City of Richfield, got the maximum sentence, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

An Oakdale man who once served as a media liaison for the City of Richfield is now serving a 3-year, 3-month prison sentence for possessing child pornography, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.

It's the maximum sentence allowed under state sentencing guidelines, according to the report.

In April 2012,  on his home computer, nearly two years after authorities first began their investigation.

According to a 2010 Star Tribune article, Maplewood police searched Bradley's home on April 8, 2010, removing a computer, three hard drives, three flash drives, CDs, a camera and a modem. The images found were sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for analysis.

When they analyzed the computers, they found more than 3,000 images of child pornography, Kugler said. Bradley downloaded images involving adult sex with infants, bestiality involving children, and other crimes, Kugler said. ...

Bradley pleaded guilty Sept. 11 to five felony counts of possession of child pornography. Prosecutors initially charged him with 16. The rest were dismissed at sentencing.

After the search, Bradley admitted that he lived alone at the Maplewood address and that all the things inside belonged to him, according to a 2012 Pioneer Press article. The article also said an officer with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force allegedly found 21 "known or suspected" child porn files available for download on his computer, which sparked the investigation. It's a felony to share child pornography.

Bradley resigned from his position with the City of Richfield on June 30, 2010.
