Bites Nearby: Wally's Famous Roast Beef Sandwiches

Wally's Famous Roast Beef Sandwiches has been serving its signature roast beef sandwiches since 1969. For years the restaurant was located in a small, obscure strip mall on 90th Street and Penn Avenue in Bloomington, but recently moved just outside of Richfield to 8120 Penn Ave. S.

When Jeff Sagal bought the restaurant from Wally Erickson, he wanted to keep the recipes the same and keep the secret ingredients close to his chest. He's done a great job of it too, because no one in Minnesota makes roast beef like they do. 

Sagal said they've got the lines out the door to prove it. Even so, he promises quick service and a large take-out ability.
