TWIN CITIES, MN — The 5-year-old boy who was seriously hurt after being thrown off of the third floor at the Mall of America earlier this year is now "walking perfectly" and "loves" being back at school, according to his family. Landen is now in kindergarten.

"Mom has been doing everything she can to speed up the healing of his wound and working toward getting off some of his medications," reads the latest update on the boy's GoFundMe page.

"The wound has finally scabbed over and new skin is growing, and we are still optimistic he will be off some of his medications soon."
