Cell Phone Robbery Sends Victim to Hospital; Three Suspects Charged

May 27

  • A wallet was reported stolen.
  • A garage on the 6700 block of Queen Avenue was burglarized. Various items, including tools, were reported missing.
  • A windshield was damaged be an unknown party.
  • A victim reported receiving harassing phone calls.

May 28

  • Police responded to the campus on a report of a found safe. The owners of the safe were located and police determined their home had been burglarized while they were away. Up to $12,000 in jewelry and gold was reportedly taken from the safe.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen.
  • A 44-year-old Minneapols man was charged with fourth-degree DUI.
  • Police responded to on an aggravated robbery of a $300-cell phone. The victim sustained numerous injuries and was taken to the hospital. Three arrests were made: all were 18-year-old Minneapolis males. Underage consumption citations were also issued.

  • A suicidal male was found in possession of a handgun. The man was taken to a local crisis center and the gun was inventoried at police headquarters.
  • A 28-year-old Richfield man was charged with third-degree DUI.
  • A vehicle parked on the 7400 block of Cedar Avenue had on of its windows broken out by an unknown party.
  • A GPS, sheetrock tools and $2,000 in cash was reportedly stolen from a vehicle parked on the 7400 block of Cedar Avenue.
  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 7600 block of Cedar Avenue.
  • , 826 66th St. W., reported a gas theft.
  • A juvenile was cited for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession on Richfield High School school grounds. He was cited and released to his parents.
  • A student at SEC reportedly assaulted a building employee. Bruises were visable, however, no medical attention was needed.
  • , 7720 Nicollet Ave. S., reported a gas theft.
  • A wallet was reported stolen from a locker at .
  • An identity theft was reported.
  • A 25-year-old Richfield man and a 27-year-old Minneapolis man were cited for disorderly conduct after police found them brawling in .
