Panel Discussion: 'Talking Baseball'

We call it our national pastime, but baseball is really more than that. It’s a part of our shared heritage and something that helps define the American experience. It infuses our popular culture, our literature and our politics – our everyday lives. It generates fans of all ages, gender, race, location and economic background. Perhaps, best of all, it evokes childhood – both our own and the nation’s.

Hear local authors and baseball historians Stew Thornley, Dan Levitt and Tom Swift talk about the history and quirks of this great American pastime, and why millions have been enthralled by it for generations. Author John Rosengren will moderate the discussion.
