Family Of Boy Thrown At MOA: We Have Good News On Good Friday
A 5-year-old boy was thrown off of the third floor at the Mall of America last week.
TWIN CITIES, MN — The five-year-old boy who suffered life-threatening injuries after he was thrown off of the third floor at the Mall of America last week is recovering well a week later. Landen fell approximately 39 feet in the April 12 attack.
"We have good news to share with you all on this Good Friday!" the family said in a statement to the Star Tribune.
"Our miracle child Landen is showing real signs of recovery. New test results have been positive, though he remains in intensive care with a long road ahead."

The man accused of throwing the boy blames women for his aggressive behavior, according to police. Emmanuel Aranda, 24, of Minneapolis, has been charged with attempted premeditated first-degree murder.
According to the criminal complaint, Aranda indicated to police that he had been coming to the mall for several years and made efforts to talk to women there, but they rejected him.

Aranda is being held at the Hennepin County jai. His bail was set at $2 million.
As of Friday, more than $887,000 has been raised for the boy's recovery on GoFundMe.
