First National Bank in Richfield Robbed

Richfield Police and the FBI ask that anyone with information contact them.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. this morning an unidentified suspect robbed Richfield’s , located at 6613 Penn Ave.  

A news release from the FBI field office in Minneapolis reported that the robber approached a bank teller before vaulting over the counter.

Wearing what was described as a black hooded sweatshirt, black face covering, black baseball cap, black jacket and dark pants, the suspect reportedly demanded cash from the teller before placing the money in a large black bag and fleeing the bank.

Estimated to be 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds, the suspect’s race is unknown. The amount of money stolen was not disclosed in the press release.

A spokesperson for the Richfield Public Safety Department was not immediately available to comment on the case as of early Friday evening.
