Hidden Cameras Found In Dressing Rooms Of Minnesota Malls: Police

Police believe the cameras were hidden in fitting rooms in malls across the Twin Cities metro area.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Police believe a man hid cameras in changing rooms located in malls across the Twin Cities metro. They accuse the suspect of placing cameras in stores that sell clothing to teenage girls, such as Forever 21 and Hollister.

Employees at both of those store locations in the Mall of America found hidden cameras mounted in the dressing rooms between March and July of this year.

The Mall of America and Maplewood Mall were referenced in a search warrant in this case, the Star Tribune reports.

Authorities say the man — a 41-year-old from Elk River — did it for "the thrill," KARE 11 reports.

The man "thinks he has done this approximately 10 times in the MOA and other malls around the metro," the warrant states. "He admitted that some of the people he watched dress and undress were possibly children, but he couldn’t always tell."
