PHOTOS: Holy Angels Boys Tennis Season Ends at Hopkins
The Stars suffered a 7-0 shutout at Hopkins Monday afternoon.
The boys tennis team was swept out of the Section 6AA tournament on Monday, losing 7-0 to top-seeded Hopkins at Hopkins High School.
The ninth-seeded Stars earned a spot in the section quarterfinals after upsetting eighth-seeded Minneapolis Southwest 4-3 on Thursday. But the Royals were too much on Monday, winning all seven matches en route to a section semifinal matchup against No. 4 Minneapolis South at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Stars will now focus on the individual and doubles section tournaments, which will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, at the University of Minnesota’s Baseline Tennis Center.
