Kids entering 4th grade learned everything from first aid to Internet safety.

Sixty-five students who are entering fourth grade had the opportunity to attend Richfield Police and Fire Safety Day today. The event was held at the Richfield Dual Language School and students learned about safety related to a variety of topics including on the Internet, dogs, bikes, first aid, bullying prevention, personal safety, and more.

Richfield Public Safety officers and firefighters were on hand to instruct and mentor students on the various life-safety topics.

To add to the fun-filled day, Richfield's helped students finish off the day by bringing dozens of pizzas along with enough salad for everyone and their parents to get their fill.

Following pizza, a graduation ceremony was held and each students received a medallion and a backpack loaded with goodies from local sponsors. In addition, items, including two kids bikes donated by the Firefighters Union, were raffled off.
