The Richfield boys hockey team loses, 7-2, to the Chaska Hawks in the Section 2A playoffs Wednesday night.

The Spartans battled but couldn't keep pace with the Chaska Hawks who knocked Richfield out of the Section 2A playoffs with a convincing 7-2 win.

After a quiet first period offensively, Richfield had numerous scoring opportunities during the second and third periods, but the Spartans couldn't get anything else passed Chaska senior goalie Dan Kreuser.

Richfield's junior captain Mick Dhein scored the two goals on the night.
