PHOTOS: Summer Begins, Richfield Pool Opens for 50th Season

Saturday June 11th marked the official start of summer with the 50^th anniversary  and opening of the .

The cooler temperatures kept opening day numbers a little lower than usual—at first count there were more lifeguards on duty then swimmers. For the first half hour eight young ladies had the pool to themselves and took advantage of the “no waiting” on the diving boards, at the slide and main pool area.

Alan Staubly, Richfield resident and lap swimmer joined in the fun and said, “I’ve been a season pass holder for a dozen years. Lap swimming is a great workout!”
