Richfield Foundation Announces More than $18,500 in Grants for Local Organizations

The Richfield Foundation announced more than $18,500 in grants for local groups. Fifteen local organizations will receive funds in total.

The Richfield Foundation, which partners with non-profit and neighborhood organizations seeking to change lives for the better in Richfield, recently announced more than $18,500 in grants for 2016. Fifteen local organizations received funds in total.

Central Education Center - Richfield Community Education

  • Grant funds will support youth enrichment scholarships for after school programs

Cornerstone

  • Funding will aid prevention classroom presentations focusing on topics such as teen dating violence, bullying, harassment, anger awareness and healthy relationships.

Loaves and Fishes

  • Loaves and fishes gives meals to those in need.

Meals on Wheels

  • Richfield Meals on Wheels provides low-cost meals to Richfield residents in need.

MIRA

  • Grant funds will be used to increase access to technology for Richfield families.

Open Streets at Penn Fest

  • Open streets at Penn Fest is a community building event.

People with Capes

  • People with Capes provides parent education, child/teen and parent communication skills

Richfield 4th of July Committee

Richfield ELC Fund

  • Grant funds will be used for scholarships to decrease expenses for the 6th grade four-day winter trip to Lanesboro.

Richfield Police Multicultural Committee

  • Richfield's unity in the community event will be back in 2017.

Richfield Ready

  • Richfield Ready helps families to develop responsible youth by connecting them to the local community.

Seven Hills Preparatory Academy

  • Grant funds will go to bullying prevention.

VEAP

  • VEAP's student hunger collaborative is designed to help low-income families with school-aged children by providing food.

Woodlake Nature Center

Grand funds will go to purchasing supplies for new raised gardens.
