Three Local Players Compete in All-Star Soccer Game

Two seniors and one senior competed in the annual Minnesota State High School Soccer Coaches Association (MSHSSCA) Senior Classic Wednesday night at Mall of America Field, or the Metrodome, in Minneapolis. The game featured the top 44 senior high school soccer players in Minnesota.

"It's really great to just get together with all the other players that are really good in the state and just play a game," said Mendez. "It's good soccer."

"It was a lot of fun," agreed Mulrooney. "I liked playing with all the really good seniors. ... I think it's more competitive."

"It was really cool to play in the Metrodome, because it was my first time playing here," said Viera.
