Richfield Legion Baseball Team Lets One Slip By Gopher Classic Tournament
Richfield's errors and Albert Lea's bats compound for 10-2 loss for Richfield at the Gopher Classic.
The committed three errors and gave up nine hits in their game against Albert Lea on Friday afternoon at the 2011 Jim Hanus Gopher Classic tournament.
Those errors proved costly, as the team allowed Albert Lea to advance their base runners without an out and more importantly, gave all the momentum to the opposing team.
After falling behind 9-1 after four innings, the team avoided the eight-run rule in the fifth by scoring a run. But in the bottom of the sixth, the Albert Lea team loaded the bases and a walk sent in the decisive run for the Tigers, giving them the 10-2 victory over Richfield.
